What do you do to prevent my clothes from getting damaged?

Fragile clothing is cleaned in mesh bags to prevent stretching and mechanization. Coats are turned inside out or have their sleeves folded inwards, while delicate items such as special buttons are protected by aluminum to prevent damage.

What are the delivery costs?

Shipping is free for orders of $100 or more, otherwise a charge of $14.95 applies.

What area do you serve?

We currently serve a 5 km radius around our counter, covering neighborhoods such as Rosemont, Plateau Mont-Royal, Outremont, Town of Mont-Royal, Mile-End, Downtown, Griffintown, Villeray, Villeray, Parc-Extension, Parc-Extension, Westmount, Verdun, and more. How long does it take to process an online order?

Our deadlines are currently 4 days between the time of pickup and delivery.

Do you offer express pickup and delivery services?

Not yet. But stay on the lookout, we are working to optimize our operations to quickly offer a service of 48 hours and even 24 hours later this year.

Is there a minimum number of items required for home pickup?

No, there is no minimum. As simple as that:)

Can I change or cancel an order?

Of course! You can change or cancel an order free of charge up to one hour before the scheduled pickup time. After this time, service fees may apply.

What happens if I am not present during pickup or delivery?

If you are absent during the delivery, our delivery person will contact you to agree on a safe place to drop off your clothes or to organize a new delivery. An additional delivery charge will apply in this case.

How does online payment work?

When you place an order online, we'll ask you to add a valid credit card to your account. This card will only be charged once your order has been received and your items have been cleaned. If there is a change in the amount, you will be notified in advance.

Can I drop off my clothes in store and have them delivered to me afterwards?

You can only use the pickup or delivery service by contacting us by phone at 514-271-4456. This option is currently not available on our online ordering platform.

Can I specify specific instructions for cleaning or delivering my clothes?

Of course, you will be able to add special instructions before finalizing your order, whether for cleaning or delivery. For example, you can enter an access code at the entrance or let us know about a specific stain.

Can I track the status of my online order?

Can I schedule regular pickups or is it only on demand?

How does your subscription service work?

Subscriptions are designed to help you save time on a daily basis by freeing you from the chore of washing. Sign up, select a recurring time slot for pickup and delivery, and you're done! During your first pickup, our delivery person will give you your Jacob bags and covers for free. Then all you have to do is put your clothes in there to wash every week, and they will come back to you clean, folded and ready to store.

What clothes fit in the bag and which in the bag?

In general, you can put in the bag all the clothes you want to recover washed and folded, and in the bag the clothes you would like to receive cleaned, pressed and turned over on a hanger. The items in your bag will be billed by weight according to your subscription rate, while the clothes in the bag will be billed individually.

How much clothing can fit in the bag and cover?

The bags can hold approximately 3 large wash loads, equivalent to approximately 50 pounds each. The covers can contain the equivalent of 5 shirts or 2 jackets, or 1 coat. If you want additional bags and covers, we will be happy to provide them free of charge.

What are the order processing times?

Our standard delivery times are 3 to 4 working days. It is possible to benefit from our express delivery in 48 hours for a fee of $10, except for Jacob Max members for whom express delivery is free.

Are my clothes washed with other people's?

No, when you choose our laundry service, your clothes are sorted and then washed individually, without being mixed with those of others. For example, for a 35-pound Jacob Flex Bag, we can do one load of light clothing, another load of dark clothing, and then one load of towels and sheets.

Can I change my recurrences or skip a week?

You can change your pickup and delivery patterns at any time or skip weeks by going to the Repeat Pickups section of your profile.

How does billing work?

Billing works in two stages: per month and per use

  • By month: your subscription amount will be billed every month.
  • For use: Once your order is received, we will weigh your bag and identify the clothes in your bag. We will then send you an invoice including the details and the final amount of your order. The billing will take place after the cleaning of your clothes.
How do you ensure the quality of the wash?

The clothing is inspected upon arrival for stains or defects. Then they are sorted by color and washed in cold water with the detergent of your choice. The clothes are then dried in the machine, in the air or on a hanger, according to the instructions on their labels.

Absolutely, we also deal with oversized items such as curtains and rugs. Carpets are cleaned in collaboration with one of our partners, which may require a processing time of 2 weeks.

What happens if my clothes are lost or damaged?

Despite our extensive experience and our rigorous process, accidents can sometimes happen. In such cases, we identify the cause of the incident. If the error is caused by our cleaning process, we make every effort to restore the item to its original condition. If the item is deemed irreparable, we offer a credit equivalent to 100% of its value or a 50% refund of its retail value.

To clarify, we have put in place maximum reimbursement limits:


  • Laundry service : Reimbursement is limited to a maximum of $250 per item, which corresponds to a maximum value of the item of $500 (with a 50% refund).
  • Dry cleaning service : Reimbursement is limited to a maximum of $500 per item, which corresponds to a maximum item value of $1,000 (with a 50% refund).

We do everything we can to remove stains without damaging your clothes. However, some stains can be tough and resist our efforts. The nature of the stain and the time that has passed since it appeared are factors that influence our ability to remove it completely. If we encounter such a situation, we will inform you and explain the methods we used to try to deal with it.

What should I do if I notice a problem with my garment after cleaning?

We invite you to inspect your clothes on site with our clerks to assess the work and ensure that they are clean and in the condition in which you returned them. However, if you notice a problem after your collection, you have 5 days to inform us and return the garment.

What happens if a repair made fails as a result of the adjustment?

We guarantee our repair work for 30 days. If a problem occurs during this time, we'll fix it for free.

How long do you keep the clothes after maintenance?

We keep your clothes in our store for one year. After this period, and without news from you, we give them to community organizations.

How do you protect my personal information?
